Mainly hematogenous dissemination, sometimes contiguous spread from pleura or pulmonary lesions
- Rib shaft and costovertal joint; most commonly involved bone in the thorax

DDx; pyogenic infection, actinomycosis - Ubiquitous zoonotic disease
