No satellite nodule

No mediastinal LAP

No pleural effusion

 Korea, Japan, China,

 Philippines, Taiwan

Infected cause

 raw or undercooked crabs or crayfish

Symptoms - cough, dyspnea, chest pain

Lab findings

 eosinophilia(>500 cells/mm3)

 pleural fluid

eosinophilia, low sugar level, low pH, high protein and LDH levels

 sputum exam, ELISA

Radiology

Normal (20%)

Pulmonary lesions - parenchymal opacity, cystic lesion; thin walled ring shadow, crescent-shaped or oval opacity, single or multiple nodule, linear opacity (burrow tract),
Pleural lesions, effusion, thickening, hydropneumothorax
